Batik
Batik is recognised by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage. originated in Indonesia and has a rich history that dates back over 2000 years. The term "batik" came from the Javanese word batik, meaning "a cloth with small dots." Rabindranath Tagore introduced this art to Santiniketan, as he was inspired by this textile art in Indonesia. It gradually flourished all over India from Santiniketan.
